Ahoy, mateys! This is a pirate ship you want to set sail with. Kids loved all the accessories to set up their story. Pirates boarded, climbed the ladder to the deck, steered the ship, walked the plank and rowed past the crocodile. A favorite activity was pulling open the gangway at the back of the ship and, placing a designated figure bound for the dungeon and snapping it shut! Kids get creative for all aspects of the story when they have an open-ended toy that suggests a direction and lets the child lead the way. Wonderful storytelling ensues as language learning flourishes.
