818d55Y6KDL._SL1440_There’s something fun and a little retro about playing an all wooden game with little friends. We set out our 10 houses with animals shapes cut out, covered them with their roofs and lined up our animals, ready for play. In this memory game, kids take turns peeking under a roof to make a match with their next animal in line–a pig, elephant, turtle, whale, seal, camel, horse, duck, rabbit and crocodile. My little friend loved the puzzle aspect as two animals stack to fill each house. Kids build memory and language skills as they name animals and colors, enjoy a little pretend play with their cut-outs and remember the correct house. Practice in fine motor and spatial skills are required to rotate their animals to correctly drop down into the house. I always like to hear, “Let’s play it again!”
