Kids loved being in control of their engine pulling their passenger. Ours climbed up and down the ramps and even went into the second speed to pick up the pace. The kids delighted in turning on the lights and warning sounds with the 2 buttons on the easy to use controller–even I could do it! The locomotive could be activated manually also but the control handle was much more fun. When they brought the train to a halt, the squealing of the brakes brought laughter and surprise as it was so realistic. Our little figure hopped out to visit a horse farm and even went to the airport to help out in air traffic control! Brio’s accessories spark story ideas that branch in many directions, providing the opportunity for kids to build essential literacy skills for later reading and writing. Throughout all the fun kids have no idea how much they are learning through smart play.
