Kids love the tactile experience of handling the fuzzy, firm but slightly squeezable animals as they press them into their molds or stand them up to come alive. Thick enough to stand alone, the animals become the subjects of a wonderful language lesson–eating, walking or swimming–as they interact. I found one little boy rubbing his face with the soft forms before putting the shark back in play. With a tree, giraffe, monkey, bear, swan, shark, bird, elephant and snake, the puzzle draws on children’s love of animals. This toy  feels good and excites creative play and learning.
