The Educational Insights Design & Drill Rivet Pop Workshop is a fantastic toy that provides children with a fun and educational way to learn and explore color matching, language development, creative design, and fine motor skills.
The Rivet Pop Workshop includes one activity table, a rivet tool and rivet remover, 40 multi-colored rivets and 10 double sided activity cards. Everything is self-storing making it perfect for on-the-go and easy clean-up. Our 3 and 4 year old toy testers eagerly chose they activity card based on their own interests. Ice cream sundaes and pizza (yum!), outer space, and other outdoor scenes became the perfect conversation starters. “Look it’s Mother Earth. She’s happy because we can fill her holes.”
Children began by counting and planning how many rivets they needed to complete their scene. As they placed colored rivets inside their rivet tool, they planned out which colors should go first. As they pressed the rivet tool on their board, they practiced fine motor control, hand-eye coordination, and experienced a good feeling of accomplishment.
The Design & Drill Rivet Pop Workshop also encourages children to use their imaginations and creativity. Once our testers completed a few activity boards, they independently decided to freestyle design their own creations on the board. Again, they practiced planning, some problem-solving, revisions, and cooperation as they worked together listening to each other’s ideas.
This toy is educational, helping children to develop important skills such as counting and understanding one-to-one number correspondence, color matching, problem-solving, and hand-eye coordination. The tools are easy for children to use, require no batteries, and provide a fun, tactile way to design and build something new.
