Children learn from imitating their experiences at their age so playing doctor can dispel fears and build language and pretend play skills. Our little doctor was ready with her bag of tools to take on her patients. She loved giving me a shot–go figure! A smile plus a shot is a good association in play and will hopefully carry over to her next visit to the doctor.
