emotoBOT brings personality, movement, and interactive play together in a robot companion designed to respond, react, and connect with kids. With expressive animated faces, touch and sound responses, games, jokes, music, movement, and more than 100 ways to interact, COR-A keeps kids engaged while creating natural opportunities for communication, listening, and social-emotional learning.
COR-A and LEX-C (two different colors/models available) encourage the back-and-forth interactions that are so important for developing communication skills. Kids listen to comments and prompts, respond to questions, make choices, and anticipate what their BOT bestie might do next. These playful exchanges reinforce receptive and expressive language skills while encouraging attention, conversational turn-taking, and listening comprehension. The animated facial expressions add another layer of learning, giving children opportunities to recognize, label, and talk about emotions—building the emotional vocabulary needed to describe how they and others feel.
Dance Mode gets kids moving while providing a fun workout for auditory attention, processing, and following directions. Children have to listen, watch, and coordinate their bodies with their BOT’s movements, putting receptive language into action. Following movement-based directions requires kids to hold information in mind and respond appropriately, strengthening listening comprehension, sequencing, working memory, and motor planning. The combination of language and movement is especially engaging for active learners who benefit from learning through multiple sensory pathways.
We especially loved the social-emotional learning opportunities built into Spa Mode. COR-A and LEX-C can guide children through yoga, calming breathing exercises, and relaxing white noise, introducing concrete strategies for slowing down and regulating their bodies. Learning to recognize when we need a break—and having strategies available to help us reset—is an important part of developing self-regulation. Parents can extend the language learning by talking about how their child feels before and after an activity: “Was your body feeling excited or calm?” “Did taking slow breaths help?” These conversations help children connect physical sensations with emotion words and begin building their own toolbox of coping strategies.
emotoBOT blends technology and interactive play with opportunities for language, movement, and emotional development. Whether kids are chatting with their BOT bestie, following along with a dance, or winding down together, they’re practicing communication and self-regulation skills through play.
