Go! Go! Cory Carson and friends are back with new fun toys that expand pretend play into all different dimensions! Two Scoops Eileen Ice Cream Truck brings lots of flavors into imaginative play as kids recreate scenes from their own experiences and from familiar episodes of Netflix’s series, Go! Go! Cory Carson.

Eileen Ice Cream Truck talks and plays music when you press on her windshield, giving prompts that spark pretend play, “Hey guys! Who wants some ice cream?” The set includes a mini Cory and sister Chrissy car. Our toy testers loved taking on different characters and role playing their parts. They used details from the truck’s designs, such as the menu drawn on the side of the counter, and used language to negotiate their roles.

Cooperative play was in full bloom as orders were made and players decided what was “not available” or “almost melting” so not an optimal choice for Cory or Chrissy. Our toy testers used familiar schemas, such as ordering and paying, to expand their language during play. “That’ll be $4!” Children were observed to expand their play scenarios even more, taking experiences that they were familiar with (e.g. ice-cream trucks often seen at playgrounds) and elaborating the story creating even more rich narratives. “There’s a party today at the park, follow me down the slide, Chrissy! Wait… I hear the ice-cream truck!”

Two Scoops Eileen Ice Cream Truck and friends, offer a wealth of play value while children engage in pretend play, incorporating familiar schemas and sequences that enrich their use of language and storytelling.
