In this mad-dashing geography game, kids are learning states, capitals, nicknames, location, categories, letters and syllables. Flip over a Find-It card and be the first player to find a capital starting with a T or S, a hidden word in your state’s name, or a plant or animal in a nickname. Collect cards when you are the quickest to give the right answer. Players learn their US map when a Go the Distance card is turned over and they scan their state cards to see which one is closest to the state card revealed. This seemed to be the hardest task for my testers but is certainly an essential skill in geography lessons–knowing where the states are located. Scrambled States of America is moving so fast that kids don’t even realize all the language learning skills they are building while racing to win!
