Sixes & Ones is a compact dice game designed for portable learning and fast play. The set includes 12 dice, a foldable silicone cup (with a lid for transport), and instructions for 6 different game variants. Each round challenges players to count quickly, recognize numbers, and make quick decisions.
Sixes & Ones strengthens a few foundational math and cognitive skills including rapid number recognition, counting, and math reasoning.
Because the game uses multiple dice at once, players often see three, four, or more dice in a group and must quickly perceive their number roles. Over repeated play, this kind of rapid recognition becomes more automatic, rather than counting.
With each game, players roll and count dice, decipher the number on a certain face, subtract eliminated dice, or reassign dice. Those quick tallies and subtractions help kids practice adding, subtracting, and keeping running totals in their heads.
The variety of different ways to play keeps the game fresh and gives players multiple angles to work with number skills. Some modes emphasize elimination (lose dice when you roll a certain face), while others might focus on passing dice to opponents, re-rolling portions, or accumulating points. Because players must adapt to different rules, they keep re-using and refining their number-recognition and counting skills in new contexts.
Sixes & Ones is a portable game for training number sense, quick counting, mental arithmetic, and numerical confidence. The multiple game variants keeps it fresh and ensures the same basic skills get exercised in different ways.
