This reading matching game focuses on the Dolch list of the most common sight words from children’s reading books, and helps prepare early readers for more complicated language skills to come. There is always a match between any two cards. Find the pair between a word and its image, two images or two words. Developed with learning professionals, this game focuses on the Dolch list of most common sight words from children’s reading books such as street, baby, tree, fish, water, stick, car or doll. Move through the 3 levels of play and different suggested games from using 2 images, 1 image and 1 word, to two word cards. Reference cards are provided for early emergent readers so they can see the image of a tree, toy or farm next to the corresponding printed word. My young player loved it and didn’t realize he was learning in the process which is the best endorsement! Note that it takes more time for early learners to figure out the words and “read” them with their reference card. As with any learning, there is such a feeling of accomplishment as kids read their first words.
