My little girlfriends couldn’t wait to rip open the packaging and see what was under that swirl of hair that was atop a cone to look like some cotton candy. They unwound the hair to find a cute little figure with a mound of cotton candy hair to style, pin up, and decorate with accents. My 4 year-old girls moved their dolls through their classroom to different pretend play props and conversed with their dolls as they played on a playground, at a kitchen and on a road. These little dolls started out as a mystery surprise and ended up being a fun vehicle for pretend play, inspiring some creative story telling as they moved between stations for play. What a wonderful way to have fun learning and building language skills.
