Kids were fascinated with the Crayon Carver and kept calling out, “I’m next,” as they waited their turn to personalize a crayon. Children guide the motorized engraver as they trace the lines in the letter tiles and fun icons. We had “luvya!” and “Ellie” (specialized for their dog). A little tray catches the carvings while a special brush is provided to dust off the shavings while in process. Crafting meets learning as my little friends enjoyed personalized messaging while tracing letters, and calling upon spelling skills, reinforcing language development. Its popularity was confirmed when kids asked, “Can I take this home?” Of course!
