Telestrations has been a big hit and now we can play it “Upside Drawn!” Divide into teams, roll the category die to know the kind of word your team will draw–person, place, thing, action or phrase. One designated player from each team knows the word while the others will be guessing, based on clues drawn out. Put the pen in one person’s hand and the board in the hands of the player who knows the word and must direct the other player to pick the marker “Up” or put it “Down” as he manipulates the board to draw the clue. The coordination and planning required, or lack of, makes this game hilarious. Thinking within a category and matching your guess to the visual clues calls upon language skills such as word association as players get closer to the answer.
