I love the message of this simple yet profound book, “Be You!” which includes so many character traits. On the first page this little baby is surrounded by over 100 possibilities from strong, respectable, and dynamic to spiritual, generous and effervescent. Those two pages of rich vocabulary invite lots of conversation with the reader or child read to. Kids are encouraged to be curious or adventurous, stepping outside their comfort zone, be kind, brave and be their own thinker. Only a few pages into the book, I felt like the message was for me or anyone else navigating these shifting times during the pandemic. This book inspired me to be patient and take time to relax, be kind and understanding by listening, “Then listen some more.” So many good lessons to explore, discover and realize what it means to be you!
