Kids learning letters and their corresponding sounds loved using these blocks to form words and create their own letter block when needed. Thirty brightly colored alphabet blocks include all the letters of the alphabet with four extra blank blocks for custom letters. Eagerly forming words, a little boy declared, “I’ve gotta make an E!” Picking up a piece of chalk, he wrote his letter to complete his word independently. Learning letters and the sounds they represent builds emergent literacy skills, preparing children to read. This child-driven activity, where they have the tools to experiment and create, allows kids to practice with sounds and form words through play.
