As a little girl, I loved an art project so I am drawn to Crayola’s Jewel Maker to share with young designers. This kit has plenty of materials to have a girl party and create with friends. Lay out the work mat, decide on making a gem, charm necklace or multi-piece bracelet, choose gel colors and icon-fetti, measure and mix colors and gel to pour in the moulds. Wait 30 minutes and you are ready to add silver cord and beads to your gems to make a more ornate necklace, or slip on your bracelet! Art projects are a wonderful social language opportunity for kids to share ideas and experiment with design to create something they can even wear. This would make a nice birthday party activity to get everyone involved and included.
